Biography
Pablo Lacolla is a drummer, percussionist and song writer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His formal musical
training took place in the conservatory of music “Manuel de la Falla” in Buenos Aires, later on he continued
his studies with known teachers such as Horacio López, Oscar D´Auria and Oscar Giunta.
In 1999 Lacolla moved to Barcelona, where he continued his studies as a percussionist/drummer but also discovered
his passion for composition and song writing. In this same era he became familiar with a then recently
developed instrument called “Hang”, with which he recorded two instrumental albums, produced by Peter Skuce.
Furthermore he became the drummer of the Barcelonan indie pop band “Vinodelfin”. The band recorded two albums
for the label Warner Bros., Perfecto en la locura and Seres Unicos.
Since 2012 Lacolla lives in Zürich, Switzerland, where he founded “Lacolla & los Capitanes del Espacio”.
As lead singer and composer of the music of this band which plays Latin urban music, Lacolla recorded his EP
Jabalí, producido por Juan Ignacio Serrano. In his latest release Ciclos, produced by Pablo Allende, Lacolla
goes back to his Argentinian roots. The album is a compilation of Tangos, Candombes and Latin Folk composed
and sung by Lacolla and played by Esteban Cuacci on piano, Marcelo Mercadante on Bandoneon, Pablo Allende
on Guitar, Guillermo Mazucca on e-bass and Emiliano Rocca on double bass.
Lacolla is a member of various other bands, such as Andra Borlo, Marcela Arroyo, Aureliano Tango Club, Gabriela
Bergallo , Flurenci Ferrer on keyboards, Prisca Mattmann on chorus and Violeta Ramos.
